Detailed Program

Time Description
DAY 1:           ARRIVAL IN VILNIUS
Arrival in Vilnius, optional transfer to Hotel Radisson Blu Lietuva**** or similar, check-in, welcome meeting to get to know your fellow travelers.
DAY 2:           IN VILNIUS. DRIVE TO KLAIPEDA VIA TRAKAI CASTLE
Vilnius is full with the medieval charm and beauty. It is 74 quarters large, with 70 streets and lanes numbering 1487 buildings. It is a place where some of Europe's greatest architectural styles—gothic, renaissance, baroque and neoclassical - stand side by side and complement each other.

In our sightseeing tour you’ll enjoy a panoramic tour of the city and a walking tour of the Old Town with Vilnius Cathedral, Gediminas Tower, Peter and Paul Church, St. Anne’s Church, Old University and the Gates of Dawn.

After the Vilnius tour we’ll travel to Trakai Castle, located on an island in Lake Galvė. Trakai was one of the main centers of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the castle held great strategic importance. It is the most spectacular of Lithuania's remaining castles, with tall brick walls and wooden walkways.
We’ll spend the rest of the day driving to Klaipeda, where we arrive at late afternoon. Check-in at Hotel National**** or similar.

DAY 3:           DAY TRIP TO CURONIAN SPIT

We’ll spend the day at the nature’s unique creation - the Curonian Spit, a thin, 100 km stretch of land between the Baltic Sea and the Curonian Lagoon. There are numerous small fishing villages, pine forests and endless sand dunes all along the spit. We’ll make the first stop at the Hill of Witches in Juodkrante. Later we’ll travel to Nida, the largest town of the spit, where we visit the High Dunes, Thomas Mann’s summerhouse. After some free time to explore we’ll drive back to Klaipeda. The optional Lithuanian dinner at Restaurant 19th Century is available in the evening.

DAY 4:           IN KLAIPEDA. DRIVE TO RIGA (LATVIA)

In the afternoon we’ll move on to Klaipeda. Klaipeda's Old Town is different from the rest of Lithuania since it has a lot of German and Scandinavian architecture. It is unique with its fachwerk architectural style and the planned street structure, can't be found in any other old town in Lithuania.  We’ll visit the Theater Square and the Simon Dach Fountain.

In the afternoon we’ll travel to the Samogitia National Park, for a walking tour around the Lake Plateliai. After the spectacular walk we’ll continue to Siauliai and Hill of Crosses, one of the most sacred sites of Catholic Lithuania.

Later we’ll drive across the Latvia border to Riga and check-in at Hotel Radisson Blu Latvija**** or similar. The optional organ concert at the Dome Cathedral is available in the evening.

DAY 5:           IN RIGA
Old Town of Riga is famous for its cathedrals, old buildings, churches. Take a walk through the labyrinth of the narrow brick streets, enjoying the colorful buildings, little shops and sweet restaurants. See the famous Dome square and cathedral, Castle with the Castle square, Town Hall, house of the Blackheads and others.
The optional tour to Jurmala is available in the afternoon. Jurmala is Latvia’s most famous seaside resort with gorgeous wooden houses and sandy beaches. The highlight of the day is an easy walk down the seashore on the soft sand, perhaps looking for the golden dot of amber washed by the sea to the shore.
The optional Latvian dinner at the stylish Restaurant Forest is available in the evening.
DAY 6:           TO TALLINN (ESTONIA) VIA PARNU

We’ll start the day with the beautiful drive along the coastal highway to Parnu, one of Estonia’s most popular summer resorts. After a short tour we’ll continue north to Tallinn and arrive there in the afternoon, check-in at the Hotel Radisson Blu Olympia**** or similar.

DAY 7:           IN TALLINN

Tallinn is a beautiful medieval city with unique charm and beauty. The Old town hasn’t been touched by the modern life, so you can travel centuries back in time. The sightseeing tour takes us around the old medieval city walls and into the Old Town where we see Toompea Castle, Dome Church, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, medieval Old Town Hall and Great Guild Hall

We offer two optional tours in the afternoon – the visit to Russian royal Kadriorg Park and a tour of Estonian contemporary art KUMU museum.
