My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our trip to St. Petersburg. We traveled to Russia by cruise ship, but silicted Ulko as a much more economical way of seeing the sites in St. Petersburg than by doing it on the tour sponsored by the cruise line. In comparing notes with our fellow passengers who took the ship's tour, we saw everything they did...and more, at great savings. Our tour guide, Luba, was friendly, patient, knowledgeable, agreeable, pleasant, and worked extremely hard to make sure we saw everything but also understood the history behind it. Being in a more intimate group of 6 people made it easier to hear and understand. Our driver was very skilled in getting us around the city, especially at the more heavily trafficked areas. All in all, I would highly recommend this tour to anyone...

It's a perfect ending for your long touring day - sit by the fire, relax, enjoy the air of the countryside. Sip Russian beer, shoot vodka or just enjoy a glass of wine while your host is making a mouthwatering shashlik (more known to most Americans as Kebab), Usually a variety of chicken and pork kebabs if offered (unless otherwise requested) accompanied by baked potatoes, various Russian salads and pickles.
Get to meet your hosts family, tour the house and feel free to ask as many questions as you wish about life in Russia and take pictures, of course!
Duration: 2 hours + (depending on how much time you can spend)
Please allow 1 hour to get to the host family location from the city center. You can take a taxi or ask your private driver to drop you off there. A taxi will be ordered for you to take you back to your hotel. Please note, that if you wish your guide/driver to accompany you it will be necessary to pay for their meal as well.
